It's a BOY!

Today was a very special day in the Rix household! We found out that we are going to have a Son! We couldn't be more excited!!! So many emotions have run through the both of us today, but the most important is that our in- depth ultrasound seemed to show that everything is on track for our 18 week old little boy. He already weighs 9 oz! As soon as the tech told us it was a boy, I screamed with excitment and Chris and I both had tears running down our faces.


As soon as we left the doctor we went out and bought our son his first outfit. As we looked around the baby dept. I found the perfect nighty that read "Future Quarterback" on it. Being that it was the only one there, we knew it was meant for our son : )

We then started our journey of announcements at my grandma's since she lives close to our doctor, and she was thrilled to find out that her first Great grand child will be a little boy. She had 5 boys of her own, so she knows a thing or two about raising boys! We then met up with my parents and my brothers and shared the GREAT news...they were all so excited and we couldn't help but to celebrate at Bob's Big BOY for the celebratory "breakfast-dinner." ; )

Chris and I feel truly blessed to have our little one on the way and love that we can already call him our son! Thank you for all your prayers, and we will continue to keep you all posted on our baby boy +
