Big Brother Luke meeting Bobby for the first time

He's HERE!!! Our little Bobby Boo is here and has already stolen our hearts! I was pretty much in labor all day on August 3rd, I stayed busy cleaning the house trying to get things really started. By 8 pm, we were on our way to the hospital. Upon our arrival I found out I was still 80% effaced and only 1 cm dialated...I was sure they were going to send us home, but I knew I wasn't going to be able to make it through the night with my painful contractions. After walking the halls with Chris for a while, my contractions were closer together and I was 100 % effaced. My doc said we were staying!!!

After another couple of hours of monitoring and walking, I finally got the epidural...thank you JESUS!!! It wasn't long after getting the epidural that I went from a 1 to a 5! Right at that time a bunch of nurses ran in because Bobby's heartrate was dropping. This was a bit scary and in that moment I realized how much I already loved my Bobby. My doc came in and said, if it happens 1 more time, I will need an emergency C-section. I told him whatever we needed to do to keep him safe was fine with me! At that point, my doc broke my water to see if that would speed things up anymore...it sure did because 2 hours later I was at an 8! I called my mom at 4:30 am and she was by my side while we waited another hour for me to get to 10! After 20 minutes of pushing with Chris on one side and my mom on the other...little Bobby entered the world at 6:55 am! After having had a C-section, this was such an AMAZING experience, we were instantly in LOVE with the newest member to our family.

Bobby is a GREAT baby and reminds us so much of Luke as a newborn. I like to call him piglet, because this boy knows how to eat (takes after his daddy). Our hearts are overwhelmed with love, and we feel so blessed to have two beautiful sons. More pics to come and thank you for your prayers!
