Chris after surgery with Big Lou (Luke's Lolo)
Praise God! Chris' surgery went very well and he did GREAT! I was so proud of him. The Dr. brought me in after he was finished and showed me the new X-ray of Chris' hand with the bone back in place and 3 pins holding it together. Modern medicine is so amazing! I went back to see Chris before he had woken up and when he did he said "Is it already over?" He didn't remember a thing. After the surgery Big Lou came to the hospital to check on Chris and to treat us to lunch at the Hungry Bear restaurant. The name was quite appropriate as Chris was more than a hungry bear after not eating for 12 hours. Anyone who knows Chris knows that he is very serious about his food! : ) When we went to my moms to pick up Luke she had made a food care package for the whole weekend! What a blessing to have plenty of food for my hubby!!!
Chris and I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, they were definitely felt by the both of us. Please continue to pray for healing as he will have to go back to have the pins removed in the next 3 weeks. Love to you all!!! XOXO
